Folegandros is a small paradise for hikers. Until recently, most of the inhabitants were livestock farmers and the only way to reach their fields was by creating their own small paths. Now, almost every beach of the island has its own path leading there.
As you can see, Folegandros is a “car-free” island and Folegandrosbuses along with the boats can bring you to every possible destination or beach. The beaches only accessible by car are Ampeli and Agios Georgios which, however, are not as popular because of their small size and (usually) the bad weather conditions, respectively. Of course, if youchoose to venture there, hiking through the paths has much more to offer!
